Our doctors have been working relentlessly through the pandemic, risking their lives. The long stressful working hours, seeing casualties and maintaining distance from loved ones for their safety have become normal for them. Needless to say, these factors can result in stress, exhaustion and affect the mental health of not only the doctors but even their family members. Hence, to help them cope with mental stress, Sun Pharma has partnered with Mann Talks to provide doctors and their families with free and confidential emotional and psychological care by trained mental health professionals. We guarantee confidentiality and privacy, and no information shared with Mann Talks will ever be shared with any third party, including Sun Pharma.
Mental Health Webinars for Doctors & Families
Through webinars, we aim to educate clinicians on mental health issues and enable them to take better self-care and provide effective patient care. The sessions will include real-life case studies and offer practical tips for their well-being. Sun Pharma has specially curated the panel of speakers to bring expertise from the field of national disasters like the Bhopal gas tragedy, droughts and, more importantly, Covid-19.
Post Doctorate Educational Sponsorship
We believe that research is the foundation of a strong medical support system in any nation. The pandemic outbreak has affirmed the need for more medical research to meet such unforeseen challenges. To encourage research, Sun Pharma will fund post graduate medical students for medical & clinical research in various fields. More than 1000 young scholars will receive grants every year for their research projects. Further details will be shared shortly.
Educational Aid for Doctor’s Children
According to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), we have lost 1500+ doctors in the country to Covid-19 in the first and second wave. We deeply empathise with the families who have lost a loved one in this battle. To pay homage to our martyred healthcare heroes, we are setting up an Education Fund for their children. Sun Pharma will provide an educational grant to the affected families through this fund. Further details will be shared shortly.
Donation of COVID-19 Medicines
We are all aware of the dire situation of the Covid-19 treatment resources. Availability of medicines and vaccines continue to remain significant challenges. To bring some relief, Sun Pharma will support local and state government institutions to lower their burden and provide ground-level assistance. Further details will be shared shortly.
